Our Family of Animals
Our approach to animals and children is sometimes a little scary to some. Most of our animals are free roaming and absolutely love the fresh food hidden in the little brown paper bags. If they are not following people around they can also be found devouring all the toilet paper in the toilets.
Our list of animals are as follows:
Gordon and his herd of hungry Boer goats. (Ellie and Annie)
Bella and Boots are Cameroon pygmy goats.
Lammy is a Zulu Pygmy goat.
Nelly and Eeyor are the sweetest donkeys in the world.
Spice, Casper and Rascal will take good care of your children when they do pony rides.
Emus Hilary and Ted are very gentle and not aggressive; they do seem frightening but will happily take food out of your hands if offered.
Oscar the green Iguana is happy to have kids touching him but this must be supervised by one of the ground staff so feel free to give us a call if you would like a close up meeting with our gentle giant.
We also have a range of geese, ducks, pigeons and doves. Rabbits run free on the farm and we have a few bunnies and Guinea pigs in our aviary with the Guinea fowl.
The Gerbils are very shy but if you sit still and quiet they do pop out of their hiding box to play in the sand.
Alpaca is one of our more famous animals with his tendency to spit when he feels threatened. He will not kick or bite and he does warn before he spits so listen out for a high pitched squeal and be prepared to duck.
Rasher can be found at the bottom of the farm in the pig sty or roaming around looking for a scratch from people. He is a pot belly pig and is very patient.
Bonnie and the piglets- Bonnie is a cross breed pig with her 4 babies. They are all very loving and will happily stretch out for a scratch.
Silkies we were donated these 24 Silkies. During the week they are allowed to roam the farm, on weekends to avoid them being chased we do keep them locked in their coop.
